Background - Women around the world face different challenges and struggles due to various cultural norms, laws, religion, etc.

  • In some regions of the world, women do the majority of agricultural labor and produce the majority of food.
  • 2/3 of every poor adult in the world is female.
  • In Arab states, less than 30% of women participate in the workforce.
  • 90% of garment workers in Cambodia are female.  
You will be researching one particular women's movement from around the world.  You will report your findings to your group.
