Background - Women around the world face different challenges and struggles due to various cultural norms, laws, religion, etc.
- In some regions of the world, women do the majority of agricultural labor and produce the majority of food.
- 2/3 of every poor adult in the world is female.
- In Arab states, less than 30% of women participate in the workforce.
- 90% of garment workers in Cambodia are female.
